Change

What we as people repeatedly do is breath new life into old concepts, ideas, and beliefs in the hope they will (this time) bring us a desired change. Here in America its every four years that we once again elect a new leader with the idea that "this time" our voices will be heard, and the changes we desire brought about. Once they inevitably fail we are once again discouraged, but hopeful with the idea that one day we'll find "the one". At what point are people going to realize that we need to stop resurrecting the same falsehoods? What is it going to take?

I hate to use the word, but we are brainwashed. We have been repeating the same actions for so long that many of us now believe that there are no other choices available to us. And that is what some want us to continue believing-namely those in power, and those with would-be power. The system is broken and does not work and yet we continue to embrace it because many of us have been trained to act and perform certain acts for our government. It can be a frightening idea-real democracy, solidarity-but also an example of what can be real if we were to embrace such a society. We are not truly free until we are truly in control of our own actions and lives. Right now, whether your willing to admit to it or not, we are not in control of much of anything. The government showcases itself as being a representative of what we want and need without considering the idea of individual thought. It makes choices often based on past failures, and ego without consideration for the people who will have to settle. We often like to think of ourselves as unique, and separate in action and thought. The government thinks of you as a clone of every other person on the planet. The only importance it places on you is how well behaved you are in addition to how easily you can be controlled.

So what will it take for you to break the spell? The truth, inspiration, and a taste of true freedom is a good starting point. The truth is out there, however, you will not find it on FOX News, CNN, or MSNBC. Because mainstream media is owned and operated by corporations that pay them to say certain things, and keep the truth to themselves. There are people rising up all over the world right this second, only you will never hear about them. They will never tell you that anarchists in Iceland recently overthrew the prime minister and caused him to resign, nor will you hear that capitalism is hanging on by a thread. Instead they will keep telling you that everything is fine, and that an American soldier killed in Iraq is more of a human then an Iraqi soldier even though they both have wives, children, bleed, and feel pain. And in between the lies and dehumanization of other cultures they will spread the word that to own more then thy neighbor makes you a better person, and what you wear and how white your teeth are will determine how much people like you. That you don't have characteristics, you have symptoms that can be cured with a simple addiction based lifestyle egged on with side effects of just one more pill. That the size of your waist is more important then your personality and what you have to say is worthless unless your a size zero. And certainly you don't want to leave home without treating yourself a dose of cancer causing chemicals spread across your face, and inked into your hair.

How much are you willing to pay to kill yourselves, or is there no price too high?

The end result is not only your life, but the lives of every living creature on this planet being destroyed in the name of greed and corruption. What will it take for you to finally stand up and see that there must be a dramatic change in thought and action. Step away from the box, go outside and start raising hell before it's too late.
